The Curas Urology range of patient-friendly urine drainage bags is moving to non-DEHP status during 2nd half of 2023, writes Curas in an update to the markets.

Casper L Kobke, Director writes: “It has long been our ambition to offer a wider range of single-use drainage bags for catheterized patients, and patient safety is always at the top of our priority list, and we are pleased to share that we are now able to manufacture the vast majority of our urine bags based on a non-DEHP material profile. We know this environmental step is welcomed by many of our end-users”.

Curas has announced an extension to the popular C3 Emptying Bags range by welcoming the all-new REF 20469 product to the range of its innovative and patented Urine Handling product. Casper L Kobke, Director, says, “Hospitals are struggling with both infection risks and the need to control costs of care. Both of these two objectives are front-and-centre of our C3 solution, and by adding the new 2L size C3 product with the medium-sized Flexi-Funnel™ inlet we now make it possible for nursing staff to benefit from the many benefits of our C3 Emptying Bags portfolio when caring for patients being catheterized with the use of C2 and C4 class of urine drainage bags”.

The new REF 20469 has the same fluid management capacity as the sister-product REF 20460, the latter being produced with the bigger size Flexi-Funnel for a safe and easy fit with the HCCV segment (high capacity cross valves). The C3 is a patented Curas product group.
