With immediate effect, Curas will introduce two new product names for the Curas Urology assortment: 

• GlyCuFlate™  – for REF 20350
• AqCuFlate™  – for REF 20351

The two products belong to the popular range of Curas Prefilled Syringes for filling the balloon of indwelling Foley Catheters, and are supplied by Curas across international markets. This bulletin also serves to update our partners, distributors and end-users that Curas shall (during 2026) change the colour of the plunger (piston) to a dark blue colour; this change is made to prevent any use of the 10ml fluid for a e.g. hypodermic needle use or another IV-related injection. The colour change to blue will further improve the signal to the clinical staff to avoid any wrong and unintended use.”

Curas, a market leading player for innovation of new and better clinical solutions for Patient Care, Nursing and Infection Prevention, is making a very important upgrade to its Hygiene Pulp™ range: We are adding a Lid to each disposable (male) urine bottle, so that end-users automatically receive the round-shape, popular urinal with a lid pre-fitted.

Casper L. Kobke, Managing Director, says: “For years, we have seen the success of our REF 08056 and 08057 product line, packed in the unique Compact Dispensing Carton unit of 28pcs, being centered around the fact that each male bottle comes with an integrated lid/cap. As far as we know, we were the first to do this, and have patented the solution that includes the solidifier (SAP by Curas™ sachet) inside each urine bottle. Now we feel it is time that our end-users, who prefer the large 120pcs bulk dispensing carton, also get the benefit of the Curas lids.”

The main purpose of the lids is to ensure that urine doesn’t smell while inside the single-use pulp-material bottle, and that small or big volumes are not accidentally coming out whilst walking with the half-full or full urine bottle, and also that no splashes are exposing staff when a full urinal is ‘dumped’ into the base of a macerator machine’s drum.
