Curas 100% Silicone Foley Catheters with Temperature Sensor is the new addition to the Curas Critical Care line. The catheter provides urine drainage and simultaneous monitoring of core body temperature, a distinct advantage of eliminating the need to measure temperature at other body sites.

It is most suitable for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Operating Room / Theatre; patients who require regular monitoring. The temperature sensor records real-time body temperature every 20 seconds, and the temperature ranged from 25°C to 45°C with an accuracy of + 0.3°C. It is compatible with YSI 400 series adapter cables that come with a rectangular dual-pin connector (e.g. Philips Compatible Temperature Adapter DHP-30-AD0) for connection.

100% Silicone Foley Catheters with a Temperature Sensor are useful in situations where abnormal temperatures may indicate inflammation, systemic infection, or other thermoregulatory issues. They can also help maintain normothermia and support physician who need to avoid surgical site infections, cardiac events, bleeding, longer recovery times, and longer drug onsets and durations. It is available in sizes ranging from pediatric to adult. It comes with a flexible yet strong catheter that gently conforms to the urethra.  It is conditionally magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) compatible and it is a less potentially invasive procedure.

Curas 100% Silicone Foley Catheters with Temperature Sensor is suitable for short, medium, and long-duration use, up to 28 days, and it is single-use.
